Unbeaten in the league this season, Wycombe Wanderers claimed a 2-1 victory over Hartlepool United in their game at Adams Park on Saturday 5th September 2015.
Michael Harriman gave the blues the lead in the twenty sixth minute after connecting with a long ball and shooting at goal.
It wasn’t until the forty third minute that Carl Magnay equalised for Hartlepool. With scores level at half time Wycombe came out for the second half in formidable form and in the fifty sixth minute Harriman scored a second goal with a curling shot into the Hartlepool goal to give Wycombe a lead which was to last to the end of the match.
Despite Wycombe’s dominance the Chairboys only managed 45% ball possession. Both sides made eleven attempts at goal however four of Wycombe’s were on target compared to six of Hartlepool’s.
The game saw twenty five fouls, twelve by Wycombe players and thirteen by Hartlepool players.
After today’s game Wycombe move up to second place in League Two with fourteen points from six games. Wycombe Wanderers are a team on form, in the automatic promotion places and with a mission. If they carry on like this surely they will be promoted this season?
The attendance at Adams Park was 3,468 (187 from Hartlepool United).
