Three men sentenced for drugs offences following shooting incident at Lucas Woods, High Wycombe

| October 2, 2015

Three men were sentenced at Aylesbury Crown court on Wednesday 30th September 2015 for being concerned in the supply of heroin, cocaine and cannabis.

The convictions are the result of an investigation by Thames Valley Police into a shooting incident at Lucas Woods, High Wycombe on Thursday 15th May 2014.

Following the shooting officers searched the area and found 119 wraps of heroin, 22 packages of cocaine and 60 packages of cannabis near to Underwood Road.

On Thursday 26th March 2015 three men were charged in connection with the incident. They were :

  • A 20 year old man of Underwood Road, High Wycombe
  • A 20 year old man of Wheelers Park, High Wycombe
  • An 18 year old man of Underwood Road, High Wycombe

All three entered guilty pleas on Wednesday 6th May 2015 and were sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday 30th September 2015.

The 20 year old man from Underwood Road was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment consecutive to any other periods of detention to which the defendant was subject prior to the making of this order.

The 18 year old man from Underwood Road was sentenced to 25 weeks’ imprisonment consecutive to any other periods of detention to which the defendant was subject prior to the making of this order.

The 20 year old man from Wheelers Park was sentenced to 22 months’ imprisonment consecutive to any other periods of detention to which the defendant was subject prior to the making of this order.

A fourth man, aged 21, of Buckingham Drive, High Wycombe was found not guilty by a unanimous jury.

Investigating Officer, Det Con Andy Hall, from Force CID based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘This was a long and complex investigation in connection with a shooting.

The sentencing shows that those who attempt to deal drugs in High Wycombe will not be tolerated, and should act as a deterrent to others who think they can perpetrate this kind of criminal activity.’

The fact the sentences are consecutive orders is relevant because the two men from Underwood Road are serving sentences for the shooting and the man from Wheelers Park is serving a sentence for GBH.
