Wycombe Remembers : Remembrance Sunday 2015

Remembrance Sunday was marked in High Wycombe on 8th November 2015.

At 10.30pm a procession left Queen Victoria Road and made its was along the High Street towards the War Memorial close to the Parish Church.

As the procession made its way along the High Street the salute was taken from the dais by Cllr Mohammed Hanif, mayor of High Wycombe, and the deputy lieutenant of Buckinghamshire.

At 11.00am a two minute silence was observed remembering those killed in The Great War, World War Two and other conflicts. After wreaths were laid on the War Memorial there was a service in All Saints Parish Church.

Earlier in the day wreaths were laid at the War Memorial at the main entrance to Wycombe Hospital and a service took place at the Dunkirk Memorial in Castle Street.
