Police continue to investigate murder in Chalfont St Peter
The investigation by Thames Valley Police into the death of a man in Chalfont St Peter is continuing.
Paul Davidson, aged 69, from Chalfont St Peter has been formally identified as the victim, his next of kin has been informed.
Mr Davidson died in Lansdown Road on Monday 9th November 2015. His death is believed to be linked to an incident in Market Place, Chalfont St Peter on Friday 6th November 2015 in which Mr Davidson was walking along Market Place and crossed the road on a zebra crossing in front of a car.
The driver of the vehicle stopped the car at the zebra crossing and an altercation took place between the driver and the victim.
The offender then got back into the car, believed to have been a white Skoda Yeti, and drove away towards Gerrards Cross.
On Wednesday 11th November 2015 a 70 year old man from Gerrards Cross and a 43 year old man from Hillingdon were arrested on suspicion of murder.
The 43 year old man has been released without charge however the 70 year old man is still in police custody.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the assault or who has any information about the incident. Anyone with information is beign asked to call Thames Valley Police via the 101 number.
