Wycombe Wanderers 2-2 Portsmouth
Wycombe Wanderers made a decisive start in their match against Portsmouth at Adams Park on Saturday 28th November 2015.
Michael Harriman put Wycombe in the lead from forty yards out in the twenty eighth minute when Portsmouth goal keeper Brian Murphy made a poor clearance.
Just two minutes later Garry Thompson scored a second goal Wycombe.
However Portsmouth fought back and just before half time, in the forty fifth minute, Caolan Lavery reduced Wycombe’s lead to just one goal when he nudged in a pass from Marc McNulty.
In the fifty sixth minute Adam Webster headed in a corner, taken by Ben Davies, to bring the scores level at two goals apiece.
It was a match that Wycombe needed to win but a draw was all they could manage.
Wycombe remain in ninth position in the League Two table with thirty points from eighteen games but they have two games in hand.
The possession stats show Portsmouth with 57% possession compared with just 43% for Wycombe. Both teams made six attempts on goal however Wycombe placed five shots on target compared to three for Portsmouth.
The match saw twenty fouls, ten from each team.
The attendance at Adams Park was 5,816 (1,976 from Portsmouth.
