Seven cars damaged by debris on M40 motorway

Seven cars were damaged by exhaust pipe debris on the Southbound carriageway of the M40 between Junctions 1a (M25 interchange) and Junction 1 (Denham) on the evening of Thursday 10th December 2015.

Firefighters were called to the incident at 6.47pm.

One fire appliance with crew attended from Gerrards Cross fire station, one from Beaconsfield fire station and two from High Wycombe fire station. Two officers were also in attendance.

As a result of striking the debris on the carriageway six cars had flat tyres and one was leaking fuel.
