Man, 32, stabbed in shoulder and back at Amersham
On Sunday 13th December 2015, at approximately 8.10pm, a 32 year old man from Chesham was stabbed in the shoulder and back in the Pondwicks area of Amersham.
The victim was treated at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and his injuries are not life-threatening.
Supt Yvette Hitch, LPA Commander for Chiltern and South Bucks, said: ‘We would like to reassure the public that we are taking this offence extremely seriously and are investigating appropriately.
We believe that this was not a random attack and so do not believe there is a wider threat to the general public. We believe the offenders and victim are known to each other and we are working to determine the circumstances that led to this incident. It is fortunate that the victim was not more seriously injured.
We would ask that members of the community who have any information relating to this issue, or who feel they have been affected by it in any way, to come forward and speak to us or Crimestoppers, in confidence. This is the best way to help with the investigation, and for justice to be served.
We have put on extra patrols in the area and appeal to members of the public to come forward with any concerns they may have regarding this incident.
If you have any information then please call the Thames Valley Police enquiry line on 101.‘
If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
