Tuesday 5th January 2016 will see the official opening to the public of the new Wycombe Leisure Centre.

The new centre will officially be opened at 10.00am by the Chairman of Wycombe District Council, Cllr Ian McEnnis, who will make a short speech preceding the opening of the centre at the new Handy X Hub development.

A 50m swimming pool, community pool, Splash Pad zone, 10m high climbing wall, 150-station gym, a multi-use 12-court sports hall, squash courts, sauna and steam room, a four-rink bowls centre and meeting rooms are just a few of the new facilities offered by the new centre.

The leisure centre is part of Wycombe District Council’s Handy X Hub development which also includes a new Waitrose supermarket, planned to open in the spring. The development also includes the High Wycombe Coach way which incorporates an improved park and ride service.

The coach way will open later in January 2016 with 19 National Express services. In February 2016 the park and ride relocates from its current home in Cressex.
