Wycombe Wanderers, near the top of League Two, were hopeful of a win when they met Hartlepool United, near the bottom of the table, on Saturday 16th January 2016.
However in the thirty third minute of the match Scott Fenwick scored the only goal of the match giving Hartlepool the lead and securing three points for the home team.
Despite many valiant efforts Wycombe were unable to find the back of the Hartlepool net. Throughout the match Wycombe made seventeen shots on goal, seven of which were on target. Hartlepool could only manage to attempt five shots on goal, four of which were on target.
Wycombe maintained possession of the ball for 56% of the match, but committed twenty fouls compared with just nine for the home team.
After today’s game Wycombe remain in sixth position in League Two with forty points from twenty five games.
The attendance at Victoria Park was 3,721 (152 from Wycombe Wanderers).
