Car caught fire on the Northbound carriageway of the M40

A car caught fire on the Northbound carriageway of the M40 between Junctions 3 (Loudwater) and Junction 4 (Handy Cross) during the evening of Friday 18th March 2016.

Firefighters were called at 6.31pm. One fire appliance with crew attended from Beaconsfield fire station, one from Gerrards Cross fire station and one from Slough fire station. An an officer also attended.

A hose reel and two sets of breathing apparatus were used during the operation to extinguish the fire.
