Carlisle United 1-1 Wycombe Wanderers
A goal in the twelfth minute by Sam Wood gave Wycombe Wanders the lead when the Chairboys played Carlisle United on Saturday 19th March 2016.
However the lead was short lived when, in the twenty sixth minute, Charlie Wyke levelled the scores with a goal off a through ball from Hallam Hope.
Wycombe’s Garry Thompson was brought down in the box by Carlisle keeper Mark Gillespie in the forty second minute but the penalty, taken by Joe Jacobsen, was saved.
The score was one goal apiece at half time, a score that did not change for the rest of the match despite Wycombe being reduced to ten men when Marcus Bean was sent off in the seventy ninth minute for a reckless challenge on Carlisle’s Mark Ellis.
The match stats show that Wycombe achieved 554% possession but of their nine attempts on goal only four were on target, Carlisle however made sixteen attempts on the Wycombe goal of which six were on target.
The draw means that Wycombe slip out of the League Two play-off places to eighth place in the League with fifty seven points from thirty seven games.
The attendance at Brunton Park was 4,532 (179 from Wycombe).
