A 20 year old man from Desborough Park Road, High Wycombe has been sentenced to two years and four months’ imprisonment for revenge pornography and stalking offences.

The man pleaded guilty to one count of disclosing private sexual photography and films with intent to cause distress and one count of stalking a person causing a fear of violence at a hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday 8th February 2016.

On Wednesday 30th March 2016 he was sentenced at the same court to six months’ imprisonment and 22 months’ imprisonment, to be served consecutively. A restraining order was also issued.

The ‘revenge pornography’ offence took place on Sunday 25th October 2015 and the stalking offence took place between Monday 1st December 2014 and Monday 2nd November 2015 both offences were committed against one woman in the High Wycombe area.

The conviction follows an investigation by Thames Valley Police.

Investigating officer, Det Sgt Carl Wilson, said: ‘[The man] pursued a course of conduct against the victim which consisted of threats to her and to her family, calls to the victim, her family and her place of work. He then went on to publish private images and videos of the victim on social media.

The actions of the defendant in this case were designed to deliberately humiliate the victim. When passing sentence, the judge referred to the defendant as a brute and a bully  something that is clear from the facts of the case.
