Man, 35, sentenced to four years in prison for robbery after stealing wallet containing about £150 in High Wycombe
A 35 year old man, of no fixed abode, has been sentenced to four years’ imprisonment for robbery following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.
On Wednesday 2nd September 2015, the 35 year old man was at a house in Archdale, High Wycombe, visiting a 66 year old man. The 35 year old man pushed the victim onto the sofa and demanded his wallet, he then stole the wallet which contained about £150 cash from the victim’s pocket.
The 35 year old man was was arrested on Saturday 19th September 2016 and charged the same day. He was found guilty at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday 7th March 2016 after a trial lasting two and a half days and sentenced on Monday 11th April 2016.
Investigating officer, PC Beck Brydon from Wycombe Local CID, said: ‘This significant sentence reflects the severity of the crime against a vulnerable individual.
Hopefully the length of this sentence will act as a deterrent to others considering targeting vulnerable members of our local community, and reassure the public that we do our utmost to ensure these offenders are brought to justice.‘
