Confronting Dementia event to be held in Amersham on Tue 17th May 2016
On Tuesday 17th May 2016, from 10.00am to 2.00pm, an event is to be held at St Michael & All Angels Church, Sycamore Road, Amersham to raise awareness of dementia and help communities get on the road to becoming dementia friendly.
The event, being held as part of Dementia Awareness Week, is being organised by officers from Chiltern District Council, South Bucks District Council, Bucks County Council, the Chiltern Clinical Commissioning Group, Bucks Fire and Rescue, Thames Valley Police and Trading Standards, with support from the Alzheimers Society and wide range of local community groups.
The event will include a wide range of activities to take part in, information about dementia, what support there is in the area. Refreshments will be donated by Tescos Amersham with proceeds going to the Sycamore Club in Amersham.

This event has spun out of the Chiltern & South Bucks Joint Partnership which this year is focusing on the theme of the ageing population in Bucks.
If the event is successful the Partnership will be holding events elsewhere in the Chiltern and South Bucks areas.
