Fatal M40 collision prompts police witness appeal
Following a fatal road traffic collision on the M40 near High Wycombe on Monday 9th May 2016 Thames Valley Police have launched an appeal for witnesses.
At 8.30pm on Monday 9th May 2016 police officers were called to the Southbound carriageway of the M40 between Junction 3 (Loudwater) and Junction 2 (Beaconsfield) following reports of a single vehicle collision.
The vehicle involved in the collision, a red Nissan Micra, ended up on its roof on the hard shoulder. The only occupant of the car, a 24 year old man from Birmingham, suffered serious injuries in the collision and was taken by air ambulance to John Radcliffe Hospital where he sadly died on Tuesday 10th May 2016. His next of kin have been informed.
Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone with any information about the incident and who has not yet contacted police to please call 101 quoting URN 1511 /95.
