Car caught fire on the M40

On Wednesday 8th June 2016 a car caught fire on the Northbound carriageway of the M40 between Junction 2 (Beaconsfield) and Junction 3 (Loudwater).

Firefighters were called at 8.23pm. One fire appliance with crew attended from Beaconsfield fire station, one from Gerrards Cross fire station and one from Slough fire station. An officer also attended.

A hose reel and set of breathing apparatus were used during the operation to extinguish the fire.
