Pedestrian, 95, dies in fatal collision at Chalfont St Peter

A fatal road traffic collision in Chalfont St Peter in which a 95 year old pedestrian died has prompted an appeal for information from Thames Valley Police.

At around 5.00pm on Monday 27th June 2016 a black Vauxhall Astra was involved in a collision with a pedestrian in Lower Road, close to the junction with Grange Road.

Police attended along with South Central Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance. Sadly, despite their efforts, the pedestrian, a 95 year old man, died at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 38 year old man, was not injured.

Lower Road was closed for around four hours while emergency services tended to the victim and started a collision investigation.

Thames Valley Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or has any information about the incident. Please contact investigating officer PC Alan Turnbull from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit in Bicester via the 24-hour enquiry centre, 101.
