Firearm discharged during incident in Chesham

An appeal for information has been launched by Thames Valley Police following an incident in Chesham involving a firearm.

At 11.30pm on Saturday 20th August 2016 a man knocked on the door of a property in Deansway, Chesham and discharged a firearm three times before leaving. Nobody was injured.

The man was not known to the occupants of the property.

The offender is described as black, 6ft with a slim face and was wearing a black hooded top.

Investigating officer, Det Insp Joe Banfield from Aylesbury police station, said: ‘I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area of Deansway last night.

This was very frightening and distressing for the victim and police are offering support to him and his family.  We believe this to be an isolated occurrence but anyone with concerns should contact their local neighbourhood police team or call 101.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone who may have any information about the incident to please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
