Wycombe Wanderers travelled away for a match against Yeovil Town on Saturday 8th October 2016.
The first half was full of opportunity for both sides, however Yeovil were the more dominant team. Yeovil made the first attempt on goal in the sixteenth minute when a left footed shot from Bevis Mugabi went to the left of the Wycombe goal. In the twenty first minute Otis Khan shot but missed.
Thirty six minutes into the match Yeovil scored the only goal of the game, Alex Lawless took a shot from twenty five yards out but his shot hit the post, Ryan Hedges connected with the rebound placing a close range shot into the bottom right corner of the Wycombe net.
Despite both teams having opportunities and Wycombe moving up a gear towards the end of the match the score remained the same.
The possession stats show Wycombe with 65% and Yeovil with 35%, despite seeing less of the ball Yeovil made better use of their time on the ball. Of Wycombe’s seven shots on goal only one was on target, Yeovil made eight shots on goal of which three were on target. The match saw fourteen fouls, four by Yeovil players and ten by Wycombe.
Still looking for their first away win in the league this season Wycombe went home without any points yet again and slip to sixteenth place in League Two with just fourteen points from twelve games.
The attendance at Huish Park was 3,187 (319 from Wycombe).
