Police launch investigation after man unloading lorry dies when pallet of tiles falls on him in High Wycombe

Thames Valley Police is investigating the unexplained death of a man in High Wycombe following an incident in Fraser Road, Booker.

On Wednesday 23rd November 2016 , at around 11.00am, a man was unloading a heavy goods vehicle in Fraser Road, Booker when a pallet of tiles fell on top of him.

The man, aged in his fifties, died at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.

Det Sgt Michael Anderson, from High Wycombe Force CID, said: ‘Detectives are investigating the circumstances of the man’s death.

There may be people locally who may have witnessed the incident and I would ask anyone who saw what happened to contact police as you may have information which is important and you may also need to receive support.

There were members of the emergency services in the area yesterday and I would like to thank people locally for their patience while we were dealing with this incident.

A scenewatch which was in place in the area on Wednesday 23rd November 2016, however this has now been lifter. The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
