Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 Hartlepool United
Wycombe Wanderers welcomed Hartlepool United to Adams Park for a League Two match on Saturday 26th November 2016.
Wycombe took the lead in the twenty third minute with a left footed shot from Scott Kashke taken from the centre of the box which found the bottom right corner of the Hartlepool goal.
The Blues looked in command and held Hartlepool at bay. When half time arrived Wycombe were still in the lead and things looked promising for the home side.
Wycombe kept pressing and received their reward when Scott Kashke scored a second for Wycombe in the eightieth minute giving Wycombe the advantage of a two goal lead.
Hartlepool were unable to respond leaving Wycombe to take a well deserved win and three points.
Hartlepool achieved 53% possession compared to 47% for Wycombe. The Chairboys made eighteen shots on goal of which three were on target, Hartlepool made six shots on goal of which just two were on target. Twenty three fouls marred the match, twelve by Wycombe players and eleven by the visitors.
With their fourth successive win in a league game, Wycombe rise to sixth position in League Two and find themselves in the play off positions with twenty eight points from eighteen games.
The attendance at Adams Park was 3,288.
