Wycombe Wanderers travelled to Chesterfield for a second round match in the FA Cup on Saturday 3rd December 2016.
Having only just found their away form this season Wycombe took command of the match in the twenty first minute when a Paul Hayes header from the centre of the box found the top right corner of the Chesterfield goal.
Three minutes later Scott Kashket scored a second goal for Wycombe when his left footed shot from the right side of the box found the centre of the Chesterfield goal.
Being two goals ahead at half time the pressure was on Chesterfield to stage a comeback however in the sixty fourth minute Chesterfield were reduced to ten men when Jon Nolan was shown the red card for a late tackle on Wycombe’s Dominic Gape.
cott Kashket. Wycombe piled on the agony for Chesterfield with a fourth goal in the seventy fourth minute as Anthony Stewart placed a close range shot to the high centre of the Chesterfield goal.
But Wycombe weren’t finished, in the seventy seventh minute a Scott Kashket shot from the centre of the box found the centre of the Chesterfield goal giving Scott a hat trick and Wycombe an unassailable five goal lead and a ticket into the third round of the FA Cup.
The match stats show that Wycombe managed 54% possession with eleven of their nineteen shots at goal on target. Only four of Chesterfields nine shots on goal were on target. The match saw twenty seven fouls, fourteen by Wycombe players and thirteen by Chesterfield players.
The attendance at the Proact Stadium was 3,685 (483 from Wycombe).
