Notts County 0-2 Wycombe Wanderers
On Saturday 10th December 2016 Wycombe Wanderers travelled to Notts County for a League Two match.
Wycombe Made the breakthrough in the thirty seventh minute when Adebayo Akinfenwa headed home from the centre of the box.
The game took a dramatic turn in the fourth minute of extra time in the first half Michael O’Connor of Notts County was shown the red card.
A goal down and reduced to ten men it was always going to be difficult for Notts County to come back, the temper of the match started to deteriorate with Richard Duffy of Notts County shown the yellow card in the forty eighth minute and Adebayo Akinfenwa, Wycombe Wanderers goal scorer, shown the yellow card for a bad foul in the forty ninth minute.
cott Kashket found the target from the edge of the six yard box. Five minutes later Aaron Pierre was also shown the yellow card for a bad foul. Then in the seventy seventh minute Adebayo Akinfenwa was sent off for a bad foul reducing both sides to ten men.
In total the match saw two players sent off, one from each team and twenty nine fouls, twenty of which were committed by Wycombe players. Wycombe managed 54% possession and placed five of then fifteen shots on goal on target. Notts County only managed fours shots at goal of which one was on target.
After today game Wycombe climb to sixth position in League Two with thirty one points from twenty games, after winning their last seven games in a row if they keep their winning run going it’s just possible that Wycombe could find themselves in the automatic promotion places.
The attendance at Meadow Lane was 3,680 (396 from Wycombe).
