With the new £1 coin due to enter circulation in March 2017 many of the older cash Ticket Vending Machines (TVM’s) at stations operated by Chiltern Railways are not capable of accepting the new coin.

New Ticket Vending Machines are expected to be installed at stations operated by Chiltern Railways between July and October 2017, before the old £1 coin ceases to be legal tender on Monday 16th October 2017

In the interim Chiltern Railways are asking customers to continue to use the old £1 coin, other coins or notes. Ticket offices will be accepting the new coin. The Chiltern Railways app and website can also be used to purchase tickets.
