Lorry caught fire on M40 between Beaconsfield and Loudwater

During the afternoon of Wednesday 1st March 2017 a lorry caught fire on M40 between Junction 2 (Beaconsfield) and Junction 3 (Loudwater).
The incident occurred on the Northbound carriageway of the motorway.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 3.31pm. One fire appliance with crew attended from Gerrards Cross fire station, one from Beaconsfield fire station and one from Slough fire station. An officer attended the incident.
Two hose reels and four sets of breathing apparatus were used during the operation to extinguish the fire. The cab of the lorry was destroyed however nobody was injured.
