A League Two away match against Leyton Orient was the fixture for Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday 1st April 2017.
The game started briskly with Wycombe making an attempt on the Leyton Orient goal in the first minute of the match however the left footed shot by Sam Saunders was saved.
Leyton Orient then made numerous attempts on the Wycombe goal and were looking the better side when, in the twenty eighth minute, Leyton Orient defender Tom Parkes made a high challenge on the Wanderers Garry Thompson for which he was shown a red card.
Reduced to ten men Leyton Orient were no match for Wycombe. In the thirty seventh minute Matt Bloomfield scored for Wycombe after Leyton Orient failed to clear the ball. A minute later Myles Weston gave Wycombe their second goal, a lead which was to comfortably win the match for the Wanderers.
The match stats show that Wycombe achieved 49% possession, of their eighteen shots on goal five were on target. Leyton Orient placed five of their eleven shots on goal on target.
Thirty fouls marred the game, seventeen committed by Wycombe players and thirteen by Leyton Orient.
After today’s game Wycombe climb to tenth position in League Two with fifty eight points from forty games.
The attendance at Brisbane Road was 4,526 (766 from Wycombe).
