Deadline to register to vote in 2017 County Council elections is Thu 13 Apr 2017
The deadline to register to vote in the May 2017 Buckinghamshire County Council elections is fast approaching.
Residents have until Thursday 13th April 2017 to ensure they are registered to vote in the county elections which take place on Thursday 4th May 2017.
The elections give people the chance to choose the 49 councillors they want to represent them on county issues and to make decisions about roads and transport, education and services affecting vulnerable children, adults and older people.
Anyone who is unable to get to your polling station can register for a postal vote or appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf however time is also running out to do this.
The deadline for receiving new postal and postal proxy applications and to make changes to existing postal or proxy votes is 5.00pm on Tuesday 18th April 2017.
If you are already registered to vote there is no need to make a new application as the poll cards should have already been delivered to your doorstep.
District councils organise the election on behalf of the county council. Wycombe District Council is busy making all the necessary arrangements to ensure everything runs smoothly between now and polling day.
