Robbery at newsagents in Desborough Road, High Wycombe

A robbery took place at a newsagent in Desborough Road, High Wycombe on Saturday 29th July 2017.

At around 7.25pm a man entered N&N Newsagents in Desborough Road, High Wycombe and threatened a customer with an object which is believed to be a knife. The man then demanded cigarettes from a staff member behind the till, before pushing the customer into a fridge.

A quantity of cash and cigarettes was then stolen from the shop by the offender who left on foot in the direction of Victoria Road and Abercrombie Avenue.

Nobody was injured during the robbery.

The offender is described as a white man in his thirties, slim, with a slim face. He was wearing a cap (which he took off during the incident), a navy blue jumper with sleeves, and dirty white trainers.

Investigating officers from Thames Valley Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the offence. Anyone with information that could help the police with their enquiries is asked to call Detective Constable David Mitchell from High Wycombe Force CID on 101, quoting incident reference 43170224746.

Police have arrested a 38 year old man from High Wycombe on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident. The man has been released under investigation.
