Elderly woman seriously injured in collision at Chesham

An elderly woman was seriously injured in a road collision in Chesham on Thursday 31st August 2017.

A black Nissan Juke was driving along Blucher Street towards Broadway just before 3.00pm when it was in collision with an elderly female pedestrian.

As a result of the collision the woman, aged 76, was airlifted to the John Radcliffe hospital suffering from serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was spoken to by police.

Investigating officer Sergeant Mark Ashby of Roads Policing said: ‘We would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident, in particular we would like to speak to anyone with any dashcam footage or mobile phone footage of the collision to get in touch with us via 101 quoting URN 771 31/8.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone who may have any information relating to this case to please call 101 quoting reference ‘771 31/8’ or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
