Knife wielding robber steals money from travel agents in Chesham
Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a travel agents in the High Street, Chesham.
On Thursday 21st September 2017, at around 3.25pm, a man entered Thomson’s travel agents in the High Street, Chesham.
The man who is believed to have been holding a knife threatened staff and demanded they hand over money from the till. The man stole cash in different currencies and exited the travel agents on foot before fleeing on a bicycle.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
Investigating officer, Det Con Christopher Downs from Aylesbury Force CID, said: ‘This was a concerning incident in the community and we have launched a thorough investigation in order to locate this offender.
As part of the investigation, we would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have seen or heard any suspicious behaviour in the area to please come forward.

Police have arrested a 31 year old man from Chesham on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident. He has been released under investigation.
