Wycombe Wanderers 3-1 Barnet
Barnet were the visitors at Adams Park on Saturday 30th September for a League Two match against Wycombe Wanderers.
Both sides had chances in the first few minutes of the match however it was not until the twenty third minute that a goal was scored. Adebayo Akinfenwa gave Wycombe Wanderers the lead with a header from the centre of the box which found the top right corner of the Barnet goal.
For the rest of the first half the Chairboys were the more dominant team but were unable to find the elusive second goal.
It wasn’t until the sixty fifth minute that Wycombe scored again. Josh Umerah placed a right footed shot from very close range in to the centre of the Barnet goal giving Wycombe a decisive lead.
Wycombe went 3-0 ahead in the seventy sixth minute when Nick Freeman found the left to the top right corner of the visitors goal.
The match was already safely won by Wycombe however Barnet did manage to score when in the seventy eighth minute, Mauro Vilhete found the bottom right corner of the Wycombe goal from close range.
Wycombe are now seventh in League two with twenty one points from eleven games.
During the match Wycombe managed 51% possession and placed seven of their fourteen shots on goal on target. Barnet only managed to get four of their nine shots on the Wycombe goal on target. The game saw twenty one fouls, seven by Wycombe players and fourteen by Barnet.
The attendance at Adams Park was 4,056 (258 from Barnet).
