Wycombe Wanderers 0-0 Exeter City
Saturday 14th October 2017 saw the League Two leaders, Exeter City, pay a visit to Adams Park.
In just the third minute Joe Jacobson made an attempt on the Exeter goal however his left footed shot, taken from outside the box, missed to the right.
Both sides had chances through the first half but neither could find that elusive goal, even Adebayo Akinfenwa could not conjure up a goal, his first attempt on goal, a header in the sixteenth minute, was too high to find the back of the net.
With the score goalless at half time everyone was hopeful the the second half would provide the breakthrough both sides were looking for but alas, there were plenty of attempts on goal but the ball never found the back of the net.
With the points shared Exeter slipped from the top spot in the League Two table while Wycombe dropped one place to fifth with thirteen points from twenty five games.
In today’s game Wycombe achieved 51% possession with two of their fourteen attempts on goal on target. Exeter could only manage to get one of their seven attempts on goal on target. A total of thirty two fouls marred the game, nineteen by Wycombe players and thirteen by Exeter players.
The attendance at Adams Park was 5,006 (500 from Exeter).
