Petition to Save Children’s Centres in Buckinghamshire attracts 2,222 signatures

| October 16, 2017

2,222 people have signed a petition in an attempt to save the thirty five Children’s Centres in Buckinghamshire from possible closure.

Changes to the services for children and families were the subject of a public consultation on ‘Improving early help services for children and families’ by Buckinghamshire County Council. The consultation closed on Monday 16th October 2017.

As part of the consultation campaigners fear the thirty five children’s centres in Buckinghamshire will be closed and replaced by nine ‘hubs’ under the new proposals.

The petition with 2,222 signatures was sent to Buckinghamshire County Council ahead of the closing date of the public consultation.
