100 tonnes of hay caught fire in a barn at Gerrards Cross
About 100 tonnes of hay caught fire in a barn at Bull Lane, Gerrards Cross during the early afternoon of Tuesday 24th October 2017.
Firefighters were called to the incident at 2.05pm. One fire appliance with crew attended from Gerrards Cross fire station, one from Beaconsfield fire station as well as one from Slough fire station. Two officers also attended.
Three ground monitors (main jets secured to the ground) and four sets of breathing apparatus were used by the firefighters during the operation to extinguish the fire. Relief crews will be taking over in the evening.
