Pedestrian dies following collision with lorry in Chalfont St Peter

A pedestrian died following a collision with a lorry in Chalfont St Peter on Monday 6th November 2017.

The collision occurred at approximated 10.40am in the Market Place, Chalfont St Peter. The pedestrian, a 71 year old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

Officers from Thames Valley Police attended as well as the Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service. One fire appliance with crew attended from Gerrards Cross fire station, one from Beaconsfield fire station and two Urban Search and Rescue vehicles from Aylesbury. An officer attended.

Road closures were put into place while the emergency services dealt with the incident. No arrests have been made however Thames Valley Police have launched an appeal for witnesses.

Inspector Scott Long of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing said: ‘We are at the scene of the collision in which a woman sadly died and an investigation into the circumstances is taking place.
