Stevenage 0-0 Wycombe Wanderers

| December 9, 2017

Wycombe Wanderers paid a visit to Stevenage for a League Town match on Saturday 9th December 2017.

The first half saw both sides have chances but neither side failed to find the back of the net. Wycombe were however the more dominant team and created better opportunities.

The second half, while entertaining, was merely a continuation of the first with Wycombe having opportunities but failing to capitalise on them. The nearest Wycombe came to scoring was in the eighty third minute when Joe Jacobson took a set piece free kick and Adebayo Akinfenwa headed the ball towards the Stevenage goal only for the ball to hit the right goal post and bounce off.

With the match ending in a draw the points were shared.

The match stats show possession at 50% for each team, however Wycombe made seventeen shots on goal, five of which were on target. Stevenage could only manage to get one of their eleven shots on goal on target. The game saw twenty fouls, twelve by Wycombe players and eight by Stevenage.

After today’s game Wycombe remain in fifth position in League Two with thirty four points from twenty one games.

The attendance at Broadhall Way was 2,430.
