Coach catches fire on M40

A coach caught fire on the M40 during the afternoon of Sunday 15th April 2018.
The incident occurred on the Northbound carriageway between junction 4 (Handy Cross) and junction 5 (Stokenchurch).
Firefighters were called at 4.15pm. Two fire appliances with crews attended from High Wycombe fire station. Two officers also attended.
A hose reel, two sets of breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera were used during the operation to extinguish the fire on the coach which was parked on the hard shoulder.
All thirty people who were on board the coach were accounted for and there were no injures as a result of the fire.
