| April 16, 2018

An acoustic night is to be held at Wycombe Arts Centre on Friday 27th April 2018.

Wycombe Arts Centre (formerly Arts4Every1) in Desborough Road is going through a transformation process during April 2018. As part of the relaunch, several regular supporters of the centre have planned a night of acoustic music featuring some of the most exciting local artists.

These are acts that are favourite regulars at the Arts Centre’s monthly open mic nights, and we just wanted to give them more exposure and a platform to really have time to do what they do best‘ said one of the organisers, Neil Denham, who is a regular host of the open mic nights at Wycombe Arts centre.

On Friday 27th April 2018 three Wycombe based acts will each be playing a 30-45 min set.

The evening will be headlined by Jazz duo Betty and Andrea who perform as Sloth in the City, as the band put it themselves ‘Betty’s saxophone, after years of fine classical training, is eager to explore all the avenues of jazz and beyond and Andrea’s guitar is nearly literally beaten up by playing all the edgiest genres, but is now keen to go back to folk and rhythm.

They will be very capably supported by the passionate songwriter Anne-Marie, whose song writing and style reflects her French origin.

Also featured on 27th April will be Lorraine, who combines an integration of music, vocals and movement. She will delight and surprise you with something unexpected in every performance.

Everyone is welcome to attend and entrance is only £2 for these three fantastic acts. Doors open at 7.30pm.

Wycombe Arts Centre has a fully licensed cash bar including local beers.
