Body discovered in Bourne End Marina believed to be that of missing pensioner
A body has been discovered in the river Bourne End Marina, Bourne End, Buckinghamshire.
On Saturday 28th April 2018, at around 10.30am, police received a call from a member of the public after they discovered the body of a man in Bourne End Marina, Bourne End, Buckinghamshire.
It is believed the body is that of 81 year old Joseph Arthur who was reported missing on Monday 16th April 2018. Mr Arthur was last seen at around 4.30pm to 5.00pm on Monday 16th April 2018 in the Spade Oak public house in Coldmoorholme Lane, Bourne End.
The family of Mr Arthur have been informed.
Firefighters assisted Thames Valley Police at the scene following the discovery of the body. One fire appliance with crew attended from High Wycombe fire station, one from Beaconsfield fire station and one from Maidenhead fire station. The Water Rescue Unit from Beaconsfield an an officer attended.
