Motorist assaulted following collision in Chesham

A van driver was assaulted by another motorist following a collision in Chesham.

At around 9.30am on Friday 18the May 2018 a van was involved in a minor collision with a silver BMW in Fullers Hill, Chesham. The 49 year old man who was driving the van stopped and got out to exchange details with the driver of the BMW.

The driver of the BMW also got out of his car and approached the victim after which the driver of the BMW punched the van driver twice in the face.

The man driving the van ran away, when he looked back he saw that the BMW had now pulled up alongside his van. The passenger and the driver of the BMW then got out and went into the van before driving off with the van drivers phone, bag and sat nav.

The driver of the BMW is described as a white, slightly tanned man in his early thirties with a large, muscular build. He is 5ft10ins to 6ft tall, has medium length hair and a long face. He was wearing a white T-shirt with blue stripes on the chest and mustard colour jogging bottoms.

The BMW is described as a silver 4×4, possibly an X5. It may be missing its right wing mirror.

Investigating officer PC Andreea Jurca, based at Amersham police station, said: ‘I am appealing for anyone that may have information that can assist with this investigation. For example, do you have any dash cam footage from the area on Friday morning or did you see a silver BMW X5 with a missing wing mirror? If so then please get in touch.
