Crafting event held at the Eden Shopping Centre as part of 2018 Wycombe Arts Festival
A High Wycombe based craft company invited the local community to share their creative card-making skills at the Eden Shopping Centre during the 2018 May Bank Holiday weekend.
Visitors to the event, organised by High Wycombe based Stampin’ Up! UK, had the opportunity to make a beautiful bespoke card to keep, as well as the option to create an additional card to be donated to Stampin’ Up!’s chosen charity; Butterfly House, the South Bucks Hospice.
The event saw at least 80 visitors entered into an exciting prize draw to win a selection of prize give-aways, with many more visitors throughout the weekend enjoying a colourful card gallery as well as live product demonstrations.
The event was also held as part of the 2018 Wycombe Arts Festival (Saturday 28th April 2018 to Sunday 3rd June 2018), which celebrates amateur and professional arts in and around High Wycombe.
This is the second year running that Stampin’ Up! UK have held an event in the Eden Shopping Centre, and follows on from the company’s successful ‘Make Something that Means Something‘ event held in 2017 which saw visitors of all ages attending a pop-up gallery and card making workshop.
Paula Gorry, Demonstrator Development Manager, Stampin’ Up! UK, comments: ‘We were delighted to welcome the local community to get crafting with us at the Eden Shopping Centre, and build upon the success of the event last year.
Wycombe Arts Festival provides the perfect platform for us to promote crafting as a fun, relaxing and sociable outlet. Sharing Stampin’ Up!’s values with the local community was truly rewarding.‘
