Police charge man with sexual assault and attempted rape following incidents in Slough and Stoke Poges

Police have charged a man following a series of incidents in Slough and Stoke Poges.

A 30 year old man, of no fixed abode, has been charged with :

• One count of sexual assault by penetration.
• One count of attempted rape.
• One count of trespassing on a premises with intent to commit a sexual offence.
• One count of attempted kidnap.
• One count of theft.
• One count of attempted theft.

The 30 year old man was also charged with a number of driving offences.

The charges are in connection with incidents that occurred in Stoke Poges and Slough between Friday 24th August 2018 and Wednesday 29th August 2018, in which a woman in her eighties was sexually assaulted and an attempt was made to kidnap a 15 year old girl.

On Thursday 30th August 2018 the 30 year old man appeared at Slough Magistrates Court. He was remanded to appear at Reading Crown Court on Monday 1st October 2018.
