Marlow Carnival 2018
The annual Marlow Carnival took place on Saturday 15th September 2018.
A parade involving floats took place along Spittall Street and the High Street, after which hundreds of people gathered in Higginson Park to enjoy live music, stalls, fun fair rides and other specially laid on entertainments.
Children (and parents too) enjoyed fair ground rides such as a pop-up go-kart track (pictured below) which was installed in Higginson Park specially for the day. There were also pony rides, bouncy castles, roundabouts and other rides to keep the children happy.
Dancing troupes performed to the enjoyment of all present. There was also a tug-of-war event and the opportunity for children to take part in a mini-tennis taster session. For the adults several beer tents were also present during the event.
The path from the entrance of the park almost down to the river was lined on one side with numerous stalls and other entertainments (pictured below).
The weather was perfect being sunny with a gentle breeze, everyone who attended the carnival had a most enjoyable time.
