Taxi driver robbed at knife point in Green Street, High Wycombe

A taxi driver was robbed in Green Street, High Wycombe on Friday 21st September 2018.

The taxi driver was sat in his vehicle on the junction of Victoria Street and Green Street at around 10.20am. Two men opened the drivers side door of the taxi, pointed a knife at the driver and took cash that was in the drivers hand. Both men then ran off towards Desborough Road.

The first offender is described as a black man of average build and around 6ft tall. He was wearing a black Nike hooded top with the hood pulled up around his face, dark trousers and black gloves which had fabric on top and leather on the palms.

The second offender is described as a black man wearing a dark coloured hooded top and trousers.

Case Investigator Harriet Hayes, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any CCTV or dash-cam footage that may have captured it. This happened in a busy location during the day so it is likely that a passer-by may have seen something.
