Man subjected to kidnap incident in the Meadowcroft area of Aylesbury

A kidnap incident has occurred in the Meadowcroft area of Aylesbury.

On Tuesday 9th October 2018, at around 7.00pm, a 20 year old man was leaving his place of work at the Meadowcroft surgery in Aylesbury. As the man got into his vehicle, a black Vauxhall Corsa, another man got into car and threatened the 20 year old man who was forced to drive around Aylesbury.

They drove to the John Kennedy pub, back to the Meadowcroft surgery and then to the shops on Meadowcroft. The 20 year old man was then forced to return to the Meadowcroft surgery and was told by the offender to leave it insecure and unalarmed so that it could be burgled.

The offender is described as a man of Moroccan origin, slim build and between 20 and 25 years old with short dark hair. He was wearing all black, black jogging bottoms, a black long sleeved shirt and was driving a silver Ford Mondeo.

During the incident the 20 year old man was not injured.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Victoria Bygrave, of Force CID at Aylesbury police station, said: ‘This was a distressing experience for the victim, but it is believed to be an isolated incident.

I believe the offender and the victim are known to each other, and I am appealing to anybody who believes that they witnessed this incident to call the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 43180308983.

Police have arrested a 21 year old man of no fixed abode in connection with the incident on suspicion of kidnap, conspiring to commit a burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal and robbery. The 21 year old man has been released under investigation.
