Injured man rescued after falling into 2m deep hole in Little Chalfont

A man fell into a 2m deep hole in Little Chalfont during the afternoon of Tuesday 27th November 2018.

Firefighters were called to the incident in Long Walk, Little Chalfont at 1.11pm.  A man had been injured after falling into a 2m deep hole while working alongside excavation machinery.

One fire appliance with attended crew from Amersham fire station, one from Gerrards Cross fire station, one from Beaconsfield fire station, one from Maidenhead fire station and one from Hertfordshire fire station. An officer also attended.

Members of South Central Ambulance Service, the Hazard Area Response Team (HART), Air Ambulance and Thames Valley Police were also present at the scene.

All the emergency service personnel worked together to rescue the man who had been injured while working alongside excavation machinery. They stabilised the injured man and removed him from an excavated area approximately two meters below ground level. The injured man was taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service.
