Canal boat caught fire in Iver
A canal boat caught fire in Iver during the afternoon of Wednesday 5th December 2018.
At 2.01pm firefighters were called to the incident which occurred at The Ridgeway. One fire appliance with crew attended from Langley fire station as well as one from Gerrards Cross fire station and one from Slough fire station. An officer also attended.
Two sets of breathing apparatus, a hose reel, thermal imaging camera and dry suits were used by the firefighters during the operation to extinguish the fire. The firefighters also removed an LPG cylinder from the area.
The fire damaged 50% of the boat while smoke from the fire affected the entire boat.
