Wycombe Wanderers 3-2 Doncaster Rovers
Doncaster Rovers visited Adams Park on Saturday 12th January 2019 for a League One match against Wycombe Wanderers.
The first half offered chances for both teams however, despite coming close on several occasions, neither side could quite take the lead.
At half time the score was sill goalless. However the second half saw Doncaster more determined to gain the upper hand.
It was in the sixtieth minute that Doncaster took the lead through a right footed shot by John Marquis which found the bottom right corner of the Wycombe net.
Doncaster scored a second goal in the seventieth minute of the game when Tommy Rowe shot from the centre of the box with the ball finding the bottom left corner of the Wycombe goal.
The match was looking to be heading for a defeat for Wycombe, however the Chairboys were determined to fight back. It was in the seventy seventh minute that Paris Cowan-Hall pulled a goal back for Wycombe with a right footed shot from the right side of the box which found the bottom left corner of the Doncaster goal.
Curtis Thompson levelled the score for Wycombe in the ninetieth minute with a right footed shot from outside the box into the bottom left corner of the Doncaster net.
With nine minutes of extra time to be added on the game was looking to be heading for a draw but Paris Cowan-Hall had other ideas. Following a set piece situation he headed home from the centre of the box into the top left corner of the Doncaster goal.
Wycombe won the game by three goals to two, ending a run of four successive defeats in League One games.
Following today’s game Wycombe climb to thirteenth position in League One with thirty five points from twenty seven games.
