Masked men steal cash during armed robbery in Chalfont St Peter
A quantity of cash was stolen during an armed robbery at a bookmakers in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire on Friday 15th February 2019.
At around 6.45pm two men wearing balaclava and armed with knives entered the Coral bookmakers store in Chalfont St Peter with their faces covered.
One of the men remained by the front door while the second demanded money from a member of staff who handed over a quantity of cash before both men fled the shop on foot.
The first man is described as a white, 5ft 6ins tall, with an average build and in his mid to late twenties. He was wearing a black balaclava, a grey hooded top underneath another black hooded top, black woolly gloves and high visibility trousers.
The second man is also described as a white, around 5ft 8ins tall and of a slim build and in his mid twenties. He was dressed in a black balaclava, a red zipped hooded top with the hood up and a white t-shirt underneath, black woolly gloves and dark trousers.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Victoria Bygrave, of Force CID at Aylesbury, said: ‘This was a frightening ordeal for the shop staff, who were threatened with knives.
We would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch with police if they believe they can help.
Any information would be helpful in progressing our investigation.‘
