Bus stop closures and diversions for the week ahead – Mon 25th Feb 2019

Week commencing Monday 25th February 2019 the following Bus Stop closures and diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Church Street, Marsh Gibbon : Thursday 29th November 2018 to Friday 15th March 2019. Due to Thames Water main replacement works this road will be closed and route 18 will need to divert. The nearest served bus stops are on Bicester Road, alternatively passengers can wait on Millfield Avenue and hail clearly to the driver.

High Street, Cheddington : Friday 11th January 2019 to Monday 25th February 2019. Due to Anglian Water works the junction of Wellington Place and Cheddington Road in Pitstone bus route 164 will need to divert via Ivinghoe. All stops will be served except on the High Street, Cheddington. Passengers are advised to use the stops at ‘The Green’ instead, due to the length of the diversion some delay may be expected.

Cressex Road, High Wycombe : Monday 21st January 2019 to Friday 3rd May 2019. Due to road configuration works this road will be closed on either side of the Cressex link/Coronation Road junction during this period. School day bus routes 643 and 655 will need to divert via the A4010 and the stops on Cressex Road between New Road/John Hall Way and the Marlow Road junction will not be served.

Rayners Avenue/Robinson Road, High Wycombe : Friday 15th February 2019 to Tuesday 12th March 2019. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire Footway works Rayners Avenue will be closed during this period. As such route 27 will need to divert via the A40 London Road and will not be able to serve the stops on Robinson Road, during this time.

Castle Street, High Wycombe : Friday 15th February 2019 to Friday 1st March 2019. Due to Cadent Gas works the outbound (towards Amersham Hill) side of the carriageway will be closed. As such buses will not serve Stop V. Buses will divert via Corporation Street, High Street and Crendon Street.

Bryant’s Bottom Road, Bryant’s Bottom : Thursday 21st February 2019 to Wednesday 6th March 2019 (except weekends). Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire re-surfacing works this road will be closed and buses will divert. On Friday 22 February the 333/334 will not be able to serve Great Hampden or Bryants Bottom.

From Monday 25th February 2019 to Wednesday 6th March 2019 buses will serve Speen as usually then travel up Great Hampden Road, turning left at Pink Road and then back into High Wycombe and Hughenden via Lacey Green and Naphill. Passengers are advised of the following (example times as for school times).

• For passengers using ‘The Hampden Arms PH’ stops in Gt Hampden, they are advised to stop where safe on Hampden Road (between Bryant’s Bottom Road and the junction with Pink Road).
• Passengers boarding at Warrendene Road are advised to use ‘The Harrow PH’ stops on Valley Road travelling towards Speen at 7:21am.
• The Valley Road stops ‘The Harrow PH’ and ‘Trees Road’ will be served north bound only (towards Speen). Passengers are advised to either travel in this direction leaving ‘The Harrow PH’ at 7.21am or catch the bus from the opposite ‘Coombe Lane’ stops further along Valley Road.

Cock Lane, High Wycombe : Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th February 2019, 9.30am to 3.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works route 27 will need to divert. After serving the ‘Post Office’ stop on London Road buses will continue along the London Road.

Lark Vale/Cleveland Road/Watermeadow, Aylesbury : Monday 25th February 2019 to Friday 8th March 2019 (except weekends). Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire bollard replacement works routes 6 and 7 will need to divert. After serving Dunsham Lane buses will turn left onto the Elmhurst Road and then right up Buckingham Road into Watermead, turning at the Watermeadow stops near the pub. As such Cleveland Road, Lark Vale, Partridge Way and the ‘Gull Way’ stops on Watermeadow will not be served.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Mount Nugent, Chesham : Friday 22nd to Tuesday 26th February 2019. Due to Virgin Media works the Chesham bound stop near the junction with Hivings Hill will be suspended. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Great Hivings Free Church’ stop on Upper Belmont Road.

Fulmer Road, Gerrards Cross : Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th February 2019. Due to National Grid Gas works the ‘Fumer Drive’ stop for services towards Fulmer will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use the stops at ‘Old House Farm’ or ‘St Huberts Close’ instead.

Cores End Road, Bourne End : Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th February 2019. Due to BT Openreach works the two ‘New Road’ stops will be suspended during these days. Passengers are advised to use ‘Railway Station’ stops instead.

Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Royal : Wednesday 27th February 2019, 9.30am to 11.30am. Due to Thames Water works both the ‘Farnham Lane’ stops will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Kennedy Close’ or ‘Fairfield Lane’ stops instead.

London Road, High Wycombe : Wednesday 27th February to Thursday 7th March 2019. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Hammersley Lane’ and ‘King George V’ stops towards High Wycombe will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Ford Street’ or ‘Rayners Avenue’ stops instead.
